  have anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?

  its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .

  if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?

  another brother working in the Dairy dept was told that anything you put in front of the cow's mouth, the cow will lick. this started an 8 year habit / relationship with cows for that brother. Can't remember his name. But he was in the Farm / Dairy dept. for 8 years I remeber, when he was caught doing it to the face of a cow. actually, beastiality got several farm brothers dfd or dismissed over the years. so much so that they started only assigning married brothers to the dairy dept. I'm not sure if that tactic worked.

  i have posted this on another forum where i mentor on spirituality and i am posting here again.. when things like spirituality are no longer present in one's life, they may or may not stop looking for meaning.

  meaning is an essential part of human psychology, though some feel the need for it less than others, and even a few seemingly don't at all.

  there also seems to be a trend that occurs: in the lack of a meaning of life, the brain tries to find one, because it sees a purpose for everything.. .

  Mocha your story is shocking but not really surprising.

  One evening at dinner time a guy suddenly burst through the double swinging doors into the dining room swinging his arms and bookbag in the air shouting " I'M GOING OUT IN SERVICE IN HARLEM....ANYONE WHO WANTS TO GO WITH ME...COME ON !!" A couple of brothers grabbed him under the arms and dragged him kicking and screaming out of there backwards....he was never seen again.

  I laughed out loud at that visual. It sounds so...well...cultic!

  Multiple Abuse ...

  i wonder how many posters here are not only in recovery from spiritual abuse (jws) , but other traumas,, such as sexual and physical abuse,,, or rape as a young person (ie, child or teen).. .

  how many of us are recovering from double - or triple - trauma ... ?.

  anyone want to share?.

  Some physical abuse here but my brother bore the brunt of it.

  My mum has told me her parents used to adminster soap suppositories to them as children.

  a few years ago my 21 yr old firstborn and only son died in an accident.

  i was an active jw at the time.

  in fact , i was at the meeting when it happened.

  that their bible is different from any bible anyone else reads in that it has added the name jehovah to the new testament greek scriptures??

  when it is not there in any ancient manuscript????

  i mean they put it there where it aint quoted at all....like all 12 times in revelation....i mean how can they not have a problem with that???
